Yamaha 7000 - Vintage 80's - Drum Kit in Cobalt Blue, 24" Kick, 8,10,12,14,16.

£950.00

Much like highly sort after 9000 series the 7000 was the midrange kit, Yamaha definitely didn't hold back on build or quality.

Shells are mahogany and birch ply, super punchy and thick sounding, just incredible! Super Dark Mahogany is on the outside so is visible.

Absolute power house of kit came in for restoration the other week one previous owner who brought it in the 80's and added some additional toms later on. Kit has played many shows in the metal scene, Its been well looked after but needed a deep clean when it arrived to me.

Sizes -

24x14, 8x6, 10x8, 12x8, 14x10 16x16.

The 8 and 10" toms are 5000 series which is the same build quality just Birch as shells not mahogany.

I stripped the kit down cleaned out all the lugs and guff!

Put new heads on by a brand I have never used before called Williams, super nice heads oil filled and they come in Blue!

Original Yamaha coated heads I have put on the resonant side they are in good condition.

24" kick I have put a Coated Ambassador on it - Original Yamaha head on the reso.

Disclaimer ---- I did play the kit for 5 minutes (It felt sacrilegious not to) I had to make the drumming gods proud!

So heads are now played, but very much worth it and they sound better than they look. cant seem to tell the difference between the 8&10 5000 series to the 7000 series. they are a little less thuddy and a bit more resonant.

Its players grade kit but in very good condition considering its age and use.

Hardly used modern Tom stands for both bass drum mounted and stand mounted Toms.

Collection only from Dudley or Birmingham possible to drive and meet up.

Can post but this kit is massive and heavy so would have to be specialist courier or pallet.

Any questions or other photos please email or message.
