More info…..
I have been very honest with the description of each drum below. Please don't let this put you off as its an amazing kit.
What's included with the 60s thunder kit….
Original and very very rare wing nut key! YES Hayman key is included. Cymbal arm mounted via the bass drum. Hayman double knuckle tom arm also included works great just pitted and chrome has come off.
14x5 Snare - George Hayman era and came with the kit. Throw (George H stamped) works great much like a Ludwig P83. Internal dampener is missing. Remo ambassador head on batter and an evans 2000 on snare side.
Generic wires are probably made in Japan but work and sound great.
Super loud snare great tuned low or high super versatile, a great crack to it.
22x14 Bass drum - Standard Hayman badge, damage where the cymbal arm mount is fixed. Corrosion and pitting on hardware. Hoops are great and do have some pedal damage on them. Original claws and T rods all round.
Original Hayman head on reso and an old Remo control sound on the batter.
16x16 Floor - In good condition, Internal baseball bat style tone control works great. Nearly new Hayman head on the batter and remo ambas on the reso. Not much rusting to the wrap but does have scrapes and scratches.
Legs are rusty, but mounts work and hold them in place,
12x7 Tom is in great condition. Slight problem there is a small hole in the wrap (not the drum, just the wrap) but has been covered up very well - This is possibly just a factory defect. Other than that the wrap is very clean.
No hole for the dampener to go which is also a bit odd.
Hayman head on reso and remo ambass on batter.
13x9 small amount of separation to the wrap. The mount is digging into the wrap a small amount. Rusting to the wrap as usual.
Hayman heads in super nice (nearly new condition) on both sides.
